About the Ukrainian Alphabet

History
The Ukrainian alphabet evolved from the Cyrillic script created by Saints Cyril and Methodius in the 9th century. The modern Ukrainian alphabet was standardized in the early 20th century, with the letter Ґ being officially restored in 1990 after being banned during Soviet times.
